Scope and Sequence

Children's Rights Education includes 3 curriculums:
  1. Knowledge of Rights Curriculum - Its primary purpose is to empower children with knowledge of their rights as referenced to the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child. While knowledge of rights is the primary focus of this curriculum, children will also analyze the values and behaviours required to uphold these rights for all children. At this time, only this curriculum has been developed.
  2. Values in Rights Curriculum - Its primary purpose is to teach children about the various forms of government on a local, regional, national and international level, and examines their function and value in fulfilling the obligations towards the Convention on the Rights of the Child. (Still to be developed)
  3. Behaviours from Rights Curriculum - The purpose of this curriculum is primarily focused on developing the behaviours required to bring about authentic change with regards to realizing children's rights for all children globally. This includes acquiring effective advocacy skills, and understanding the democratic processes involved in bringing about true change. (Still to be developed)
